Here's the real story behind the photo, as told by John Hatwell,
of Gday Pubs, who set this famous ghost photo on the Internet map.

"I took that photo. A photo of the photo. The photos were found behind an old fire place when it was torn down for renovation around 2000. Have seen
the original and it is genuine. The man wasn't a real person in the Pub as he is wearing his hat which did not happen inside Pub doors. An insult to the queen
to do that. He is either a ghost or there was some bleed from the another photo in the
same stack of negatives. This is very unlikely, having looked closely at the photo, there is no other bleed and he is a little well placed and there is no bleed halo around his head."

By now most of you have seen this famous Tantallon Ghost image just about everywhere on the Internet. I am so glad to have found the owner of this photo, Christopher Aitchison. He and Professor Richard Wiseman and his team are responsible for putting this amazing image on the Internet, and for making most ghost /psychic photographers wish they had captured this one.

Photo Permission, Capture, and Copyright of Christopher Aitchison 2009

Here's what Christopher has to say:

"Indeed, methinks our ghostly friend was just letting us know he was there. The funny thing is he appears to be looking right down on my wife, who was standing right below his gaze. Strangely enough I feel privelaged that he let me take his photo, although for what ends I have no idea? Spot on, when I took the photo I was not aware of anything being in my visual field, I just thought it would be a nice shot. However when I checked my digital viewer, I was pleasantly surprised. A one in a million shot."

CAR CRASH GHOST

Photo Permission and Credit:  ER Lowe

This is a photo of a clipping that was in my local newspaper in Tennessee.  The accident happened approximately 10 years ago (2000).  When this picture was in the paper there was much talk around the county regarding the “face” in the car.  I had forgotten about it until a couple of years ago when I came across the clipping at my mothers who had saved the article.  I took a picture of it so I could download to my computer for the purpose of highlighting and enlarging the area with the face.  It was obvious to me that cropping and enlarging the face did not distort it all but in fact brought out many details I had not noticed in the original.  Tragically a woman was killed in this accident, but it is the other car that was involved that the face is seen in and that person survived.  - Elaine

Special thanks to Elaine for taking the time to share this story and this very eerie and unique photo.

SKELETAL FIGURE IN CEMETERY

Photo Permission, Credit and Copyright of Jennifer Tribble

Here's another great ghost photo taken by Jennifer, and here's what she has to say:

"My husband and I were on a ghost tour in St. Augustine and this is the graveyard where there is a "judge" who is said to roam around is commonly seen. That picture sure looks like a judge to me! I had a funny feeling like someone was watching me when i took this picture, so I snapped it and walked away. A few days later after going thru the photos, this picture came up!" - Jennifer

Once again, Tantallon Castle scores big with this photo which was taken in the 1970's. A ghostly face seems to be watching from the window above the
subjects in the photo. She appears to be 15th-16th Century Style apparel.

When the SS Watertown docked, the film was processed and the spectral faces of James Courtney and Michael Meehan were discovered on film. This photo had been authenticated.

SEMI TRUCK ACCIDENT SPIRIT?

Here is a fantastic mist photo taken by Dave. Here's what he writes:

"A man in an SUV had a seizure, lost control of his car and ran into the semi. Driver of the semi swerved to not run over the car and rolled over.
I was taking pictures of the accident and did not see any smoke or steam.  When I got them into the computer I browsed through the thumbnails and did not notice the faces.  Several days later when I looked at some of the shots full screen I saw it.  Some have accused me photoshopping it but I can assure you I did not.  I actually see 3 faces in it.  Creepy to say the least or maybe we humans find what we are looking for.  :)   I do not believe anyone died in the accident." ---Dave

Famous Car Ghost

  By Mable Chinnery 1959

was also posing for the camera in the back seat of the car.

Hampton Palace Ghost

http://www.griffindrk.com/

This apparition was captured on CCTV camera at the 15th Century Hampton Palace, which was once home to King Henry VIII. After alarms went off near the exhibit hall, security found nothing amiss. But when they played back the security tape, they were shocked to see the robed apparition of this ghoulish figure. This photo is thought to be a fake by many experts. And a new story believed to surface is that it was a hoax. What do you think?

Ghost of Freddy Jackson

Ghost Photo 1919, RAF Squadron WW1. The ghostly face is supposedly that of Freddy Jackson, a mechanic who worked on planes. He was accidentally killed by an airplane propeller only two days before the photo was taken. His ghostly visage appears behind this circled face. Top row, fourth from the left.

Hospital Ghost

This photo was taken in 1918 in front of an old abandoned hospital. The glowing object
in the upper window is believed to be a ghost. What do you think? Light reflection or spectral guest of the past?

Borley Rectory Ghosts

Borley Rectory

Ghost of Borley Rectory

Here is one famous ghost photo taken on the grounds of the Borely Rectory in England. The Rectory was built in 1863 for the Reverend Henry Bull and has been deemed
as one of the most haunted dwellings in England. The rectory was destroyed by fire in 1939. But before the fire, it was already haunted. Since then, many ghostly apparitions and other unusual paranormal activity continue to persist and have been documented.

Borley Rectory Floating Brick

Here again, the Borley Rectory has struck a ghostly chord with supernatural seekers. This photo was taken by "Life Magazine" in 1944. There seems to be a
floating brick just hanging in mid-air without the help of human participation. Maybe it's being held by something of the spiritual nature?

Famous Amityville Ghost Boy

This famous photo was taken by Ed and Lorraine Warren's team during an investigation of the infamous Amityville Horror house at 112 Ocean Avenue in Long Island, New York. It was captured on time lapse camera.

This superimposed photo of the ghostly face (center) can easily be compared with the young Defeo boys, Mark (Left) and John (Right),
who were murdered along with their whole family by their brother, Ronald Defeo Jr. Look familiar? This is perhaps one
of the best
ghost photos ever captured.

Jesus in the Clouds

This famous photo was taken in the early sixties from a plane window. A woman was looking out of the window and just
happened to snap this photo of the clouds. When the film was later developed, this was the result.
Pretty amazing photo.
